Instructions
Hull and slice the strawberries.
In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
Lower the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and the sauce thickens.
Take the sauce off the heat and allow it to cool. It will thicken more as it cools down.
