Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter or spray a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray. Rinse and pat berries dry and set aside. Make the topping by combining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
Add sugar, self-rising flour, and salt to a medium mixing bowl and whisk to combine.
Add milk and whisk until smooth.
Pour in melted butter and whisk until combined and smooth.
Pour the batter into your greased dish and top evenly with berries.
Mix together cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Cover the entire surface of the berry cobbler with the mixture.
Bake in the oven for 1 hour. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
