Craving a wholesome snack? These sweet potato chips can be made in the air fryer and are a crunchy treat everyone will love!

I love potato chips. I love chips in general for their crunch factor, but potato chips are definitely in the running for best chips of all time. There are all sorts of varieties of chips out there: corn chips, plantain chips, and potato chips in every flavor you can possibly imagine. But something about sweet potato chips, especially the ones you make yourself, always keeps me coming back for more.
What’s really great about making your own chips that taste this good is the conviviality of serving them at a party. I love game nights with friends, and providing snacks is a staple of those game nights. These homemade chips get passed around in a bowl for all to enjoy and are almost always gone by the end of the night. In the unusual case of leftovers, they keep just as well as any chips and make for great casual snacks during your day.
My favorite thing about these chips is how irresistibly crunchy they are. They fry up just right, giving them that perfect texture when you bite into them. In fact, I think that in terms of taste and texture, they rival anything you can buy at the store. Give them a try, and I’m sure you’ll agree.

Season Those Spuds!
In this recipe, we keep things rather simple when it comes to the spicing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t unleash your culinary creativity when it comes to seasoning these spuds! To start, why not try smoked paprika or even hot smoked paprika instead of the regular kind? It adds a delectable smoky flavor that complements the potato’s natural sweetness beautifully. You can also add a touch of heat by sprinkling some cayenne pepper into the mix. In that case, I’d serve the chips with a spritz of zesty lime. If you’re partial to more herbal flavors, try adding dried rosemary, an herb that goes particularly well with sweet potatoes. And why not experiment with spice mixes such as garam masala, za’atar, or herbes de Provence?

How Do I Store Leftovers?
You can store your chips at room temperature in a sealed bag, just as you would any other chips. They’ll be good for about 5 days! That said, they’re usually best the day you make them, I find.

Serving Suggestions
Sweet potato chips make for a great side next to a sandwich for your lunch. I recommend something like these hearty Slow-Cooker Turkey Dip Sandwiches. A Philly Cheesesteak Wrap is also delicious, or a Black Bean Slider for a vegetarian or vegan option. If you want a dip for your chips, I recommend making yourself a serving of Loaded Baked Potato Dip. One of my favorite dips is this Creamy Spinach Dip!
