Simple and simply delicious, Baked Pork Chops are a great choice for a quick weeknight dinner.

I love a challenge in the kitchen. Give me a complex recipe with many steps that will yield the most delicious results, and I am a happy camper. But, you know what? I also love a quick, simple, straightforward recipe that takes hardly any time yet still yields a totally delicious result. Enter baked pork chops.
These are so flavorful. It’s all about the seasonings—paprika (smoky, hot, or sweet: your choice!), best-of-friends onion and garlic powders, the subtle but distinctively herby flavor of thyme, and salt and pepper—that make these baked pork chops so savory and satisfying. Some people prefer bone-in chops because they usually have more flavor, but we love boneless for this recipe. Why? Well, partly because they take less time to cook.
Boneless baked pork chops make the perfect weeknight dinner, especially if you’re pressed for time but still want to serve a proper meal. The chops are brushed with olive oil and covered with the seasoning blend, and into the oven they go. Just 15 to 20 minutes later, your baked pork chops are done!

Tips for perfect baked pork chops
Start by removing the pork chops from the fridge about 30 minutes before you’ll put them in the oven. Letting them come to room temperature helps them cook more evenly, therefore ensuring consistent results and perfectly juicy chops. Next, pat the chops dry so that the seasoned surface will brown beautifully in the oven. Finally, be careful not to overcook the chops. They are only one inch thick and are going into a hot oven, so begin to check them at the 15-minute mark.

How do I store leftovers?
Completely cooled baked pork chops can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You can also place them in a freezer-safe container or Ziploc bag and freeze them for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Serving suggestions
One of the (many!) great things about these baked pork chops is that they can be the main event in a casual meal or the superstar at a dinner party. Around here, we love baked pork chops with Baked Potatoes With Garlic Herb Sour Cream and this homey and yummy Broccoli Casserole. But I’ve also had great success serving baked pork chops to guests. One of my favorite menus involves pairing these pork chops with Tzatziki Sauce (the combination of the pork chop seasonings and the cool, creamy sauce is just divine) and serving them with Creamy Lemon Pasta topped with baked Artichoke Hearts. So good! And for a dessert that will really wow your guests? White Chocolate Lemon Mousse With Blackberry-Lavender Syrup and these Lemon-Rosemary Cut-Out Cookies.

Baked Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops 1-inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil.

- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over all sides of the pork chops.

- Place the seasoned pork chops on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

- Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring a moist and flavorful chop.
