Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated
  • 15 ounces canned tuna in water drained
  • 1/4 cup onion small diced
  • 3 tablespoons celery small diced
  • Crushed red pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Preferred sauce for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and lemon juice together. Stir in breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese until the mixture becomes pasty.

  • Fold in the drained tuna, onion, celery, crushed red pepper, and black pepper.

  • Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch thick patties.

  • Add the vegetable oil to a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Work in batches if needed.
