Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1/4 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 14 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large pot, cook rotini pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onions until browned. Add salt and pepper. Stir in tomato sauce.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta and beef mixture. Transfer to a 2-quart baking dish.

  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, and return to oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
