- 1 pound fresh asparagus ends trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place the trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Roast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and lightly browned.
If desired, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the roasted asparagus before serving.
