In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, milk, egg, baking powder, honey, sugar, and salt until smooth.
Skewer each hot dog piece with a soaked skewer, leaving enough handle to hold.
Dip each skewered hot dog into the batter, let excess drip off, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place coated corn dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space in between them. Work in batches as needed.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden and cooked, flipping the corn dogs halfway through.
Serve with ketchup, mustard, or other preferred dipping sauce.
