Instructions
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil.
Serve over pasta or use as desired.
