Add eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and melted butter to the sugar mixture. Whisk until smooth.
Pour the filling into the pie crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top appears slightly golden.
Remove from oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours to fully set before serving.
