- 1 medium onion chopped
- 4 green onions chopped
- 2 Scotch bonnet peppers chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth to create a thick marinade.
Use immediately or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.
