Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices bacon diced
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the diced bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside.

  • In the remaining bacon fat, sauté the onion until translucent and soft.

  • Add the apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the onions. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Return the cooked bacon to the skillet. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve warm over your favorite greens or as a dressing for a spinach salad.
