Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped ham
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese plus more, for serving
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  • Melt half the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped ham and sauté until slightly browned, about 2 minutes.

  • Add the remaining butter to the skillet. Pour the egg mixture over the ham. Cook for a few minutes until the edges start to lift from the pan. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over half of the omelette.

  • Fold the omelette in half over the cheese. Let it cook until the cheese melts.
  • Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot with green onions and additional cheese sprinkled on top.
