Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the casserole covered for 55 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F, uncover the casserole, and bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until the casserole has set.
