  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk any variety
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup raisins or dried cranberries

Instructions
 

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Then, take an 8x8-inch baking dish and spray it with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  • Grab a large bowl and mix together the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt until they're well combined.

  • In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk, applesauce, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
