Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour divided
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 3/4 cups diced apples peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Raw sugar for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups flour, the sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, coat the apples with 1 tablespoon of flour.
