- 1 1/2 pounds pork belly
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sea salt flakes
- 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Score the pork belly skin in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
Rub the pork belly all over with olive oil, then season the skin with sea salt flakes, ensuring it gets into the scores.
Season the meat side with Chinese five-spice powder and brown sugar, rubbing it in well.
Place the pork belly in the air fryer skin-side up and cook at 360°F for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, increase the temperature to 400°F and cook for an additional 10 minutes to crisp up the skin.
Remove the pork belly from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve with a side of apple cider for dipping or drizzling.
