Crispy, savory, and positively addictive, these Sliced Potatoes In The Air Fryer are a perfect snack or side.

As you know, I love any and all types of potatoes in any and all of their glorious preparations. How I prepare them depends on family requests, what else I’m serving, or the biggest inspiration: my own personal whim. That said, I probably make these sliced potatoes in the air fryer the most often because I crave them all the time.
These deliciously seasoned slices are super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and make the best side dish for so many mains. They are also the best snack; kind of like if a French fry and a potato chip had a baby (and like both of those spud favorites, these sliced potatoes in the air fryer are perfect for dipping!).
You will love how easy they are to make. For some reason, I always find slicing very therapeutic, so I really enjoy this part. Coat the slices in the seasoned oil, and place them in a single layer in the basket of your preheated air fryer. That’s all!
You’re going to find all sorts of ways to use these potatoes!

Tips For Perfect Sliced Potatoes In The Air Fryer
This recipe is wonderfully simple, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few tips to make sure those potato slices come out perfectly.
First, try to use potatoes that are all the same size, and then make sure your slices are all the same size and width: this will ensure even cooking (you don’t want to bite into an undercooked potato because some of your slices were too thick!). If you have time, soak the slices in some cold water for about 10 minutes, and then dry thoroughly. Soaking washes some of the starch out of the potatoes, which will make them even crispier! Do a thorough job of coating the potato slices evenly with your seasoned oil. Preheating the air fryer for five minutes before cooking will add to the crispy outcome. Next, don’t overcrowd your air fryer basket: this may mean you have to cook these potatoes in batches, but it’s totally worth it to achieve their dreamy texture.

FAQs & Tips
How Do I Store Leftovers?
Cooked and cooled sliced potatoes can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Freezing is not recommended, as the texture will be affected upon thawing.
Will Other Potatoes Work In This Recipe?
Yes. We love russets, but you can also use Yukon Golds or red potatoes. This recipe also works for sweet potatoes!
Any Other Seasoning Ideas For This Recipe?
You can season these potatoes with any of your favorite spice or herb combinations. The classic rosemary and thyme is delicious. Or do an Indian version with curry, cumin, and turmeric. I also love lemon-flavored olive oil and dried dill weed, along with some fresh lemon zest at the end.

Serving Suggestions
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack—these potatoes are incredibly versatile. For breakfast, I love to top them with some runny Sunny-Side-Up Eggs, chopped up Bacon, and a drizzle of Jalapeño Sauce. Pair these crispy taters with a Chicken-Bacon-Cheddar Sandwich or Italian Drip Beef Sandwiches for a great lunch. At dinnertime, they make the best side for all kinds of mains, like Honey-Glazed Salmon or Grilled Pork Loin, and of course, they are perfect with a Pan-Seared Steak. Given their size, shape, and ultra-crispiness, these potatoes make an amazing snack when you serve them with dips! Some of our favorites include Spinach-Artichoke, Yogurt-Herb, and Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip.
