These Rolo Pretzel Treats are the perfect holiday treats to make for your next family get-together or games night. It is super easy to make and also a great activity for your kids.

The kids have been asking for a Youtube channel for a long time. We watch a ton of YouTube and the kids are always making pretend channels and shows. So we decided to create a video for this great recipe.

We started with something incredibly simple. This is hardly a recipe, but they are so good that they needed to be shared. I think that the key is the butter thin pretzel. It makes it. Sweet and salty is my favorite combination, so these are high up on my list of favorite treats. A friend gave them to us as a gift at our Christmas Eve party and we ate them all before the night was over. The day after Christmas we went to the store to get more pretzels and Rolos. The hardest and most labor intensive part of this whole thing is to get the wrappers off of the Rolos.

Variation

If you want to make it more festive you may use a combination of marshmallow, melted chocolate, and a sprinkling ofcinnamon powder. This is a great snack while opening presents or even during camping in your backyard. No kid or kid at heart can resist its sweet and rustic charm.

Now for a valentines theme pretzel you can use white chocolate as a filling. Then once the top pretzel is placed you can add a swirl of whipped cream and half a strawberry or a piece of cherry on top. This will have a romantic vibe to it. Or can be made for kids of they are your valentine.

But if you really want to indulge your sweet tooth you can use peanut butter as the filling mixed with chocolate chips. This will combine the salty sweet taste of peanut butter while having small bits of rich, smooth chocolate in every bite. Great for having a sleep over, or game night.

Serving Suggestions

With all that sugar and sweetness together in every treat you wonder how much you can eat? Per person 2 to 4 pieces might be okay. You can pair each serving with coffee or tea if you want to cut down the sweetness. Or if kids are around a glass of milk will also make a great drink to pair with the sweet pretzels.

How to Store Rolo Pretzel Treats?

When you’re done munching on these decadent pretzel treats you can transfer them in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge. This will keep for 3 to 5 days. You can also keep them in the freezer by transferring them first in an freezer-safe bag and storing it first in an airtight container and then keep it in the freezer. This will prevent other flavors and odors contaminating your pretzels and will prevent freezer burns or crystallization. It will also extend it’s shelf life for up to a month.

We top ours with a pecan or walnut cut in half, so you have a pretzel, chocolate and a nut. Delicious!
