Healthy and filling, this burger is a juicy, good meal with amazing versatility!

While burgers are traditionally made with beef, a Ground Chicken Burger provides a tasty alternative that doesn’t skimp on flavor while being a healthier choice! Burgers with ground beef can be heavy and greasy. The lean meat of ground chicken breast is much less greasy! Despite this, it can still be juicy, especially with the addition of olive oil.
This ground chicken burger recipe is easy to make, easy to store, and—best of all—easy to eat. I love how simple and straightforward it is because you can personalize it to your own tastes easily! It’s versatile and accessible, as the best burgers always are.
My family loves to have a ‘burger bar’ at get-togethers. Basically, everyone gets their bread and their burger patty, then we add on the toppings! Lettuce, tomato, and onion are classics that you need to have in your spread, but you can also take a leaf out of my mom’s book and throw on some sauerkraut! Spice it up with chili sauce, or keep it tangy by adding some delicious BBQ sauce. A burger is a perfect canvas for everyone to customize their meal while enjoying the same dish, and ground chicken burgers are no exception.

Well Done, Done Well
Unlike a ground beef burger, you shouldn’t undercook a ground chicken burger. Undercooking chicken can lead to serious health problems, so absolutely do not listen to anyone asking for a medium-rare chicken burger! The trick is not to make the patty too thick so that you can cook it all the way through. But don’t cook it for too long and fry out all the juiciness, either.

How to Make Ahead and Store?
Pre-cooked ground chicken burger patties are perfect for freezing and using at a later date. Just wrap each one individually so they don’t get stuck together, and you can store them in your freezer for up to 3 months. Defrost and warm them up in a skillet for a few minutes. You can reheat them in the microwave, but you may lose the desirable texture this way. You can also keep them in your refrigerator for 3-4 days after these burgers have been cooked.

Serving Suggestions
Burgers are best served with a side of French Fries or onion rings! You can easily make your own Onion Rings in an Air Fryer and either do French Fries in an Air Fryer or Baked Fries. If you want a healthier option, you can even make Asparagus Fries!
If you’re doing a ‘burger bar’ like my family likes to do, an assortment of sauces is always a good idea. You can have your standard ketchup bottle out for everyone to use, but putting in a little extra effort to have some more creative options goes a long way to giving everyone the best burger experience. Buffalo Sauce will always be delicious on chicken, or try making some Green Enchilada Sauce or homemade Chipotle Sauce. If you’re a fan of Greek flavors, you can put out a Tzatziki Sauce with some olives and feta cheese sprinkles. Whatever tastes good to you can go on your burger!
