Here at Baked Bree, we’re all about tasty recipes, simple instructions, and enticing ideas that’ll keep you coming back again and again. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes, or how we keep our standards suitably high, then this policy will answer all those questions and many more. Below, we lay out everything from the checks and balances we’ve got in place to how we use AI as a tool—but never as a replacement for human creativity. So, take a read through and you’ll soon see why you can rely on us for your culinary inspiration every day of the week.
Recipe Development & Testing
It’s important to us that our recipes don’t let you down. We’ve all been there, testing out something new and ending up with a creation that’ll be underwhelming and disappointing, or worse, heading straight for the trash can. Nobody wants that, which is why we’ve got a highly skilled team in place to make sure every new recipe we publish will work out just as intended. And for that, testing is crucial.
The Ideas Phase: Every new recipe starts with a concept from one of our talented culinary team members. Guided by the latest foodie trends, which nostalgic dishes are making a comeback, or what’s in season, they’ll come up with enticing recipes perfect for family-friendly meals—many of which can be adjusted for alternative diets, too.
Testing Time: A professional recipe developer takes that initial idea and ensures the chemistry and flavors will work. They formulate the draft recipe and send it out to be tested by one of our team in a home kitchen with standard equipment and easily accessible grocery store ingredients. If something’s not quite right, we go back to the drawing board. If the recipe passes with flying colors, it’s on to the final stage.
Taking Those Photos: When our finished dish is signed off, it’s time to take photos. We always take our own photos and never use stock photography or images generated by AI—after all, that’s not what we cooked! What you see is exactly what came out of our kitchens.
Editorial Review & Fact-Checking
We want you to feel completely confident when you step into the kitchen with us, which is why every piece of content published on Baked Bree undergoes a rigorous editorial review. Before you ever see it, our articles and recipes are separately fact-checked and edited for accuracy, proper culinary techniques, and precise ingredient measurements. This multi-layer review process is just another way we ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability across all of our content.
Our Writing & AI Usage Policy
As AI continues to forge ahead into the unknown, we remain committed to human creativity, real stories, and true connection. Every single one of our posts and stories is written by a human being—you can see their names and photos at the top of each piece! We also include a short biography for each contributor so you can get a sense of who they are and how each one’s culinary journey has taken shape.
At Baked Bree, we only use Artificial Intelligence tools to assist with administrative tasks, such as spell-checking and flagging errors. We do not use AI recipes, AI-generated writing, or AI photos.
Nutrition Information
Not Medical Advice: What you read on Baked Bree is purely for informational and instructional purposes. We are not doctors or medical professionals, so our content should never be interpreted as medical advice or used for diagnoses. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant dietary changes. We also encourage mindful eating and do not support claims that any diet is superior to another.
Nutritional Data: Under each recipe, we provide some nutritional information (such as calories and macros) using digital calculators. These are estimates based on standard ingredients and external databases. Remember, these are just a guide, and many factors, such as ingredient freshness, measuring accuracy, and which brands of products you use, will all influence the actual nutritional value.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Cultural Respect: We often publish recipes from cultures outside of the U.S. (from Mexico to Thailand, and everything in between) as well as a number originating among our own minorities (think Cajun, African-American, or Hawaiian). In each case, we strive to replicate those dishes with appreciation, respect, and fair attribution. We research the origins of these culinary creations and credit traditional methods and processes where applicable.
Inclusive Language: All races, religions, backgrounds, and cooking abilities can find a home at Baked Bree, which is why we are committed to using welcoming and inclusive language to promote tolerance and respect.
Reader Interaction & Community Guidelines
We encourage questions, recipe feedback, and constructive criticism from all our readers. If you choose to leave a star rating for one of our recipes, we only ask that it truly reflects your experience making the recipe. All reviews are genuine; we never purchase or manipulate reviews. We reserve the right to remove comments that contain hateful or inflammatory speech, personal attacks, spam, or misinformation.
Occasionally, you may come across affiliate links in our content (where we earn a small commission at no cost to you). Any sponsored content will be clearly identified at the very top of the post. We may also, from time to time, partner with brands, though they’ll only ever be brands we love and never brands whose ethics clash with our own. While payment from brands may guarantee placement, reviews will remain impartial.
Corrections & Updates
We are human, and mistakes will happen. If a reader identifies an error in a recipe (e.g., a missing ingredient quantity), we prioritize fixing it straight away.
We regularly update older posts to improve clarity, answer common reader questions, or update photos. When a post is updated, the “Last Updated” date on the page will reflect this.
